ABOUT ME: All my life I have challenged myself to be an overcomer of circumstances. I'm a person who loves God, people and the outdoors. As a volunteer, I learned how GTD supports these things and I instantly fell in love with the ministry. The impact I've seen GTD make on the lives of it's participants is amazing and something I desire to be a bigger part of. I've taken a BIG leap of faith joining the GTD staff before it is able to provide an income for me. I'm trusting God to provide for my needs and to bring people into my life who are lead to support me while I help to develop this very VITAL department of GTD. PROGRAM: Prosperity (Grant Writing, Ministry Partners, Fundraisers, Sponsorships...)

| WHY IT'S IMPORTANT: Funds are to a ministry what oxygen is to the body. The body doesn't live to breathe; it breathes to live. Without oxygen the body will quickly die. Likewise, GTD doesn't function to bring in revenue; it brings in revenue so that it can function. Without adequate funding any ministry will quickly die. Grants, donations, pledges and sponsorships are the oxygen that helps GTD to function & grow. Without God moving the hearts of generous donors within the Prosperity Program GTD would not be around today. This one Program supplies about 25% of our annual income. | |

PROGRAM GOAL: (1) To increase our annual donations from 57k in 2007 to 114k in 2010 through increased grants, fundraisers, sponsorships and Ministry Partners. (2) For the Prosperity Program to be self sustaining by the end of 2009. |

PROGRAM STATUS: Currently GTD has established a Ministry Partner Dept, Annual Banquet Dept and has 2 grantors. |

DOING MY PART: A major part of Trailblazing is making personal sacrifices & cutting my living expenses to the bare essentials. Currently I am working with GTD as a Volunteer Director as I raise my support. I have no current income for the work I do. I have moved off the beach into a smaller apartment with a roommate. By doing this my living expenses have been cut in half and I'm saving on gas by being closer to the things I do. I'm also keeping a tight budget and reviewing it frequently to make adjustments. I'm being wise about my spending by thinking twice about buying things I think I need.
